Lauren is a music education major turned therapist. Her passion to be a helper brought her from Las Cruces, New Mexico to Kansas City, Missouri to pursue graduate school in the spring of 2015. Lauren interned with Abundant Life Counseling Services in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and received her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018.

Coming from a divorced home, Lauren understands first-hand the difficulties in relating well with others, coping with depression, and navigating life with hurts and pains. After spending time meeting and talking with various people on a trip to Haiti in college, her career goals took a change of direction. Since then, a thirst for helping was born and she spent much of her time mentoring and investing in people of all ages and walks of life.

Lauren is experienced in the areas of depression, anxiety, divorce/separation, boundaries, codependency, and trauma/PTSD. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is certified in Prepare Enrich. Whatever your story or struggle may be, Lauren would consider it a great honor to come alongside you with compassion and flexibility as you work towards health and healing in every area of your life.
