Welcome to Epic Counseling!! Thank you for considering us on your journey to freedom.

Life can throw hard times at us so quickly and finding a safe place to talk is helpful in the healing process.  My approach to counseling is to provide a faith-based, non-judgemental atmosphere, and knowledge in counseling theories to help you find freedom in your situation.

I would be honored to sit down with you and listen to your story, to provide a listening ear, advice, or trauma recovery.   As a counselor, I believe that through building and developing healthy relationships and self-esteem, healing and change can occur.  I believe it is up to you, as the client, to choose how to live your life and I will offer you the support you need to reach your personal goals. I’d love the opportunity to meet with you and walk through this hard time together.

My passion has always been to help people.  This led me to seek a profession where I would be able to help others around me, this is where I started my career as a teacher.   I taught Kindergarten, Special Ed., as well as Second grade over the years.  Working with the families that I was exposed to through my teaching career only deepened my heart for helping others and led me to pursue a Master’s in Counseling at Northwest Missouri State University.

I have a heart for working with those that have experienced trauma in their past.   In my counseling career I have worked with: abuse, anger management, anxiety/depression, family issues, PTSD, relationship building, personal growth, divorce, grief and loss, rape, codependency and adolescent issues.

Each client is unique and it is my passion to assist each person in obtaining his or her desired goal in therapy at a reduced session fee.  Feel free to contract me if you have any questions or if you need help deciding if counseling is right for you.
